vertical format directs the eye down the length of the sculpture to the birds intended
prey.”

An interesting characteristic of the African Hammerkop is that it builds the largest nest of any
bird in the world! This uniquely shaped bird was chosen by Stefan as the third subject of his six-
part series of African Birds.
